Phatal Industries is a multi-faceted entertainment company comprised of three sub-entities: Phatal Records, Phatal Sk8boards, and Phatal Films. Our goal is to disseminate a unique entertainment experience to all audiences through our own music, films, and skate culture. We respect the craft of others and value collaboration amongst artistic minds to further everyone's goal of success. We recognize the need to be legendary. That's Phatal.
Blastphumis (Jason Wright) is a recording artist, skateboarder, and actor out of Washington, D.C. but began his artistic career in his hometown of Los Angeles at the age of 13. He is the founder of the D.C. based entertainment company PHATAL INDUSTRIES which is comprised of Phatal Records, Phatal Films and Phatal Sk8boards. A graduate of D.C.'s Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Blastphumis has worked with other recording artists such as Yung E, GYPC, and Mbea da 1 of Likeblood Entertainment, SmCity, David "Professor" Burl, Deja Belle, EZ Jackson of Soul Cannon and others. When he isn't skating at Freedom Plaza he is in the studio or out performing and networking with the rest of the Phatal team. His debut EP with Phatal Records is entitled "Smoke" with the LP "Mirrors" to follow.

A D.C. native and a graduate of Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Awkward Silence (Michael Saltzman) has accumulated a variety of artistic experience in music, acting, directing, and writing since he was young. Although previously dabbling in electronic music, after hearing his close friend Blastphumis’ first recorded songs he began to seriously produce hip hop instrumentals. Raised in the digital age, Awkward Silence makes his music using Garage Band and a shareware waveform editor. He’s been deeply grateful to work with artists such as Blastphumis and Likeblood, and is very happy to be a part of the Phatal family.

Derek Thomas of Phatal Industries has been skateboarding for about 10 years now. Derek grew up in Isle of Palms, South Carolina and moved to D.C. in 1999. Derek has a great passion for the music, film, and skateboard industies. He has competed in two skateboarding events where he won first place in the amateur division and second in the advanced division. Although Derek has filmed skate footage with professional film crews and has been offered sponsorship by various companies, he held off to pursue his position with Phatal Industries. Derek indulges in his passion for music by contributing with every aspect of Phatal Records and plans to lay down a few tracks of his own for experimentation. He also plans on making his mark in the film industry by taking part in the production of films based on urban and city life. To Derek, Phatal is a tight knit group of highly talented individuals with an incredible product who can create a wave of influence on the entertainment industry as a whole.

Dior Ashley Brown is B.A.D. MC, Hostess, Poet, Actress; a unique quadrupple threat. Miss Brown is a Native Washingtonian born in the DMV, raised all over the country and overseas but home rests in North East D.C. She is an alumna of Duke Ellington School of the Arts and University of Maryland Theatre Arts programs. Her content resonates the strength and tradition of young American women in hip-hop. It's no holds barred and a ride on the stars with her melodic flow. Arielle "Ari" Jordan is a native of New Orleans. She graduated in the top of her class from Louisiana State University with a degree in Mass Communication, encompassing Advertising and Public Relations. It had always been Arielle’s dream to work in Advertising and PR, but with Hurricane Katrina hitting just months before she graduated, finding a job in those fields was especially hard in New Orleans. Instead, she took a different route and secured a position at a top Southern law firm as a legal assistant. This eventually propelled her move to the nation’s capital in pursuit of a law degree. It only took one year of law school, however, for Arielle to re-discover her passion for Advertising and PR inspiring a comeback – this time on her own terms! As Phatal’s head of marketing and PR she is not only living out her dream as a publicist but is also working for what she considers a Dream Team.
